my current motivator is brad goreski, rachel zoe's former assistant
I met him when they were filming 'rachel zoe' at marchesa's studio.
I was just an intern, and he was a fresh assistant.
but I still knew who he was and I was dorkily excited he said "bye" my way - haha
watching his new show, 'it's a brad brad world', working out of his garage..
and crying when he gets a project, I am totally rooting for him~
it makes me feel better about working all by myself too...
anyway, he's such a cutie pie!
it makes me want to work harder now so brad can one day pull from my line~
and I can tell him this funny story. ;)
i personally can't stand the guy- i was rooting for him when he was rachel's assistant... but the way he left and stole her clients- what a backstabber!
ReplyDeletehonestly, I don't know all the details, but I can understand why anyone would leave to start their own thing. You can't tell someone to be an "assistant" all their life if that is not their dream. I admire his ambition. Apparently he didn't "steal" any clients, and if he did have a repeat client as rachel, the market is fair game and it's up to the client to say thanks or no thanks - as it is in any industry. I am equally a fan a rachel zoe, and I personally don't think it's necessary for them to have any animosity. Brad paid his dues and worked hard for her while he was there. He is not obligated to stay under her wings forever if he has outgrown his role there. I also don't think he's a "backstabber" because he didn't do anything to sabotage rachel's brand or image. Anyway~ I only back him up because I'm in his shoes too..
ReplyDeleteTrish, I totally agree with you. He paid his dues and worked really hard. It was finally time for him to move on to bigger and better.... and I think he deserves it and more.
ReplyDeleteYou don't have to stay anywhere forever
